The Emperor
Keywords: Authority, structure, power, boss, leadership, father
Yes/No: No
Upright: This man is a natural boss and leader. He exudes so much confidence that people can’t help but notice him when he walks into a room. He wears armor showing that not only has he had to battle to get where he is, but he is always ready to throw his robe off and go to war again if needed. This card is very symbolic of Aires between the rams carved into his throne, and the orange sky (which is the only card in the deck with one). This man even embodies Aires characteristics, such as rulership, government, and leadership. Instead of a scepter, he holds an ankh cross, which alludes to the manifestation that is possible when you combine opposite forces.
Reversed: This man is power-hungry. He uses his leadership role as a status symbol, not to lead and help others. He is the type of boss that delegates everything to those under him and refuses to get his hands dirty, because let’s face it, he’s better than you. Cocky control freak.
