The Hermit
Keywords: Self-reflection, inner wisdom, withdrawal, solitude, reflecting, deep thinking
Yes/No: Undecided
Upright: This man stands on the mountain top, meaning he has overcome many obstacles recently and he is now taking a moment to close his eyes and reflect on his journey this far, as well as to really stop and focus on what his next step should be. He looks down because the only guidance that he needs is from within. Darkness surrounds him in the form of a deep blue sky, which symbolizes emotional depth and the unknown. He uses his lantern with a 6-pointed star in it to light his path so he is guided by all the wisdom he has obtained so far. The white snow beneath him means that he has a clean slate, so he is able to make it what he wants. This card is so plain because it urges you to put all your focus internally.
Reversed: I think you have mastered being a hermit a little too well. You are now more like a recuse. You don’t leave the house and you barely talk to anyone. You have completely withdrawn for having any kind of a social life. This card is telling you that you need to let people back in and that you will feel happier once you do.
